Christina Rascoe (she/her), LCMHCA

Outpatient Psychotherapist in South Durham

Works with ages 18+

Hi y’all! I am Christina Rascoe (she/her) and I am an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness at the South Durham location. I am a proud Wolfpack alumna as I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University.

I strive to create a safe space where you can be vulnerable, and your feelings are validated without judgement. It is also a goal of mine to model healthy relationship dynamics that can give you direction on your own relationships outside the therapeutic space. I approach counseling from a strength-based and person-centered approach which holds me accountable in creating that empathic and non-judgmental space, allowing me to empower you to challenge attitudes and beliefs within yourself, as well as expand your own self-help toolbox. I also incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral and Relational-Cultural therapy into my practice.

I am deeply passionate about working with individuals from the BIPOC community as I believe working with these identities is one step closer to eliminating the stigma of mental health in these communities. I enjoy working with adults of all ages on a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, existential concerns, past trauma, and ultimately helping clients make self-reflections that are essential to improving their overall wellbeing.

Outside of counseling, I spend my time with family and friends, listening to music (Drake and Summer Walker get played the most), reading, and feeding my guilty pleasure of true crime documentaries.

If you have any questions about my availability, more details on the counseling relationship, or any other concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!
