Elizabeth Krug (she/her)

Clinical Intern, UNC Chapel Hill

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to grow my therapeutic skills as a clinical intern with Three Oaks. I am interested in working with adults (18+) who are looking to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and process the highs and lows of being human.

I am currently in my final year of pursuing a Master of Social Work degree from UNC Chapel Hill. Through my coursework, I have been learning how to provide evidence-based mental health services that honor diverse identities and acknowledge systemic impacts on wellness. My undergraduate education was in Psychology and Art, which offered a rich foundation of knowledge about the human mind and the importance of creative expression. After graduating, I worked as a direct care technician at residential mental health and substance use treatment centers for adults.

Through my education and work experience, I have strengthened my ability to meet people where they are and walk alongside them through their process. I believe that the stories of each individual are worthy of attention and I am dedicated to providing a non-judgmental space to learn about who you are.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and integrates different evidence-based modalities to meet the individual needs of each client. I am especially inclined towards the use of art as a therapeutic tool, awareness of mind-body interconnection, and exploration of unique routes to spirituality. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and conscious environment for individuals of all identities. My services are best suited for those looking to work on managing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and grief/loss.

In my free time, I enjoy breathing deeply in nature, laughing with friends, snuggling my cat, and scouring the racks of local thrift stores.

If you think we might be a good match, please send an email my way. I am so excited to get to know you, exactly as you are.
