Justine Protas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an Outpatient Psychotherapist, and Clinical Operations Manager at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Theater Studies at Emory University and received her Master of Social Work degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Justine believes that therapeutic outcomes are strongly rooted in the relationship between client and therapist, making therapy a collaborative journey. She focuses on creating a non-judgmental and validating environment by encouraging self-exploration, honesty, and open communication. Some things you may expect to encounter throughout this process include: examining values, exploring connections between emotions, thoughts, & behaviors, and learning skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distressing times, stay in the present moment, & communicate effectively with others.

Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and tailored to the individual’s needs. She utilizes evidence-based treatment models including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in order to treat a wide variety of psychological issues in both adults and adolescents.

Justine looks forward to working together!
