Kristin Doyle (she/her), MSW, LCSWA

Outpatient Psychotherapist in North Durham

Works with ages 18+

Hi! My name is Kristin Doyle (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) working as an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Simmons University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work. I am currently being supervised by Julie Heustiss, LCSW.

As a queer person of color, I am deeply committed to creating spaces that are LGBTQIA+ affirming and anti-racist. I know how important these spaces are, and how difficult they can be to access. I provide individual psychotherapy to adults and have six years of experience supporting predominantly queer and trans clients and people of color, adoptees, and fat-identified clients. My work with clients primarily draws from liberation psychology. I also bring my values of anti-oppression, Health at Every Size, and Disability Justice to my work.

I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space for healing and self-discovery. My therapy style combines narrative and feminist techniques to support clients in understanding their stories and embracing being an expert in their own lives. I recognize that each client has individual needs and adapt my treatment modality to best meet them. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also have training in Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems. This means that my approach is integrated and utilizes the mind-body connection.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with dear ones. I look forward to working with you!
