Sara Crow (she/her), MEd, LCMHC, NCC

Outpatient Psychotherapist in North Raleigh

Works with ages 18+

My name is Sara Crow (Pronouns: She/Her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC #11736) & a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC #628036). I am an Outpatient Psychotherapist in North Raleigh.

I grew up naturally offering others a listening ear, empathy, & support. After earning two undergraduate degrees from UNC Greensboro and working in hospitality & international education, I went back to school for my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at NC State University. I spent the first few years of my counseling career working in a university counseling center with students & in community based mental health with children, teens, & parents. After the birth of my son, my eyes were opened to the unique needs & challenges of the prenatal, pregnancy, & postpartum periods for moms & families. There were so many things I did not feel prepared for & wished I had known where to find support. It was then I decided to focus my counseling work around pregnant & postpartum persons, their families, & the life transition into & throughout parenthood.

I believe the most important aspect of counseling is the relationship 'fit.' Advanced training is important, & also you must feel heard, respected, & empowered for it to promote change. I am a trauma therapist & work with both bottom-up & top-down approaches to nervous system healing. I draw from Somatic & Attachment Focused EMDR (SAFE EMDR), SAFE EMDR for Chronic Pain, Brainspotting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Mindfulness, & Motivational Interviewing to work with severe stress, anxiety, mood changes, parenting, identity, chronic pain, sexuality, relationship struggles, body image, self-esteem, self-awareness, life transitions, & finding balance. I work closely with & am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I speak English & Spanish, & offer a culturally sensitive & humble approach to therapy. I am a lifelong learner.

After leaving my roots in Alaska and living throughout North Carolina & Mexico, I now call Raleigh home.

Welcome to Three Oaks! All parts of you are welcome here with me.
