Anna Rodenfels is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, an Outpatient Psychotherapist, and one of the Site Supervisors in South Durham. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from Auburn University and her Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Anna understands the strength it takes to start therapy and believes in meeting clients where they are. She is passionate about helping clients learn how to identify and tolerate difficult emotions, how to set individual and relationship boundaries, and how to grow toward self-acceptance. She creates a space for clients to feel supported, heard, and empowered as they move toward healing and change.
Anna's client focus is working with clients who desire to create more healthy relationships with others and themselves, those struggling with eating disorders, and clients who desire to create more emotional understanding and flexibility in their lives. She is LGBTQIA+ friendly and approaches all clients with empathy and compassion.
Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and tailored to the individual’s needs. Anna uses evidenced-based treatment models including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in order to treat a wide variety of psychological issues in both adults and adolescents.
