Chelsea (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Outpatient Psychotherapist, and Site Supervisor at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in West Raleigh. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Chelsea approaches therapy with the firm belief that each client is worthy of authentically embracing and expressing everything that makes them human. Your thoughts, beliefs, actions and emotions make up the core of your being & they deserve to be recognized, supported and understood. Chelsea strives to achieve this throughout the therapeutic process by establishing and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship and fostering a non-judgmental space in which clients are met where they are and viewed as the experts on their lives. Chelsea is committed to working from a strengths-based, collaborative perspective and incorporates a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Her passions include, but are not limited to, supporting clients coping with eating disorders and disordered eating, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal conflict and difficulties pertaining to perfectionism and self-esteem. Chelsea works with adults 20 years old and up from all racial, cultural and religious backgrounds, is LGBTQIA+ affirming & Health at Every Size (HAES) informed.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys reading, exploring new places and coffee shops, cooking & baking and spending time with her cat and loved ones.
