Jayden Falldorf (he/him), MSW, LCSWA
Outpatient Psychotherapist in South Durham
Works with ages 15-65
Hey there! My name is Jayden Falldorf (he/him/his), and I am a licensed clinical social worker associate in Durham, NC. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and my Master of Social Work from NC State University.
It is likely no secret to you that life can be a blurry, complicated, and unpredictable adventure. It has the capacity to be as painful as it can be wonderful. I am passionate in working with others as they navigate the many curveballs that life may throw at them. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience that can help provide a safe place for you to learn more about who you are, who you would like to be, and how to engage with life meaningfully and authentically.
Specifically, I am very interested in working with individuals experiencing major transitions, such as from graduating, starting/changing careers, navigating relationships, etc. I am also experienced in working with those impacted by trauma, particularly from prior or current experiences with religion, and approach it from a neutral stance. I also have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorder and pornography addiction. I typically lean into mindfulness-based approaches, and have been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also enjoy working with relationships utilizing the Gottman Method, with a supportive approach towards both monogamous and polyamorous relationships. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome clients from all walks of life.
In my free time, I love hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, and hanging out with my wife and our two pups. If I’m staying in, a perfect day is spent brewing a fresh cup of coffee, putting on a favorite record, cozying up to a good book, or playing a bit too much Baldur’s Gate 3.
