Jessie Booten (she/her), MSW, LCSW-BACS
Site Supervisor of the Telehealth Team; Outpatient Psychotherapist
Jessie is scheduling clients virtually via telehealth.
Works with ages 18+
Jessie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor endorsement (NC-C011033/LA-12633), an Outpatient Psychotherapist, and Site Supervisor of the Telehealth Team. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Tulane University and her Master of Social Work from Tulane School of Social Work.
Jessie understands that the first steps towards self-actualization are hard and believes that a warm, safe, and non-judgmental approach helps to foster personal growth and acceptance. She believes that while all of us have likely been the villain in someone else’s story at some point in our lives, we should always be the hero of own story. Jessie works from a strengths-based focus and believes that when given the proper tools, everyone has the ability to grow, to change, and to succeed.
Jessie’s career has spanned nearly a decade of working with adults who are experiencing life changes, losses and grief, and chronic and terminal illnesses as well as the depression and anxiety that come with these shifts to daily routine. She is passionate about holding space for anyone who finds themselves struggling to make sense of a “new normal.” She has honed skills in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Jessie also believes in the power of journaling; the pen is in fact mightier than the sword.
Jessie is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana and when not working with clients can be found stirring a roux in the kitchen, dancing to jazz on Frenchman Street, or applying alarming amounts of glitter to masks in preparation for Mardi Gras. Jessie lives with her spouse and their dog, Mando (who, yes, is so named for the Mandalorian) and enjoys watching terrible movies, reading, and beating her family members at Mario Kart.
