Mariam Abdulraheem (she/her), MSW, LCSWA, LCASA

Outpatient Psychotherapist

Mariam is scheduling clients virtually via telehealth.

Works with ages 18+

My name is Mariam Abdulraheem (she/her). I have a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA). I serve as a Telehealth Outpatient Therapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness.

I believe therapy is a space where you can be yourself which is sometimes harder than it sounds! Whether it seems like life is happening too fast to process, you feel stuck or lost & crave movement or direction, or are looking for healing, growth or support in specific areas, my job is to hold a space for you to show up exactly as you are. I don't assume coming to therapy means there is something wrong with you or that you need to change- there is something powerful about having a regular time set aside to check in with yourself. As a therapist, I can provide structure and support for that practice, whether you need support processing trauma or moving through a crisis, want to make big changes, or simply want space to. I work with adults (18+) who have experienced sexual violence, intimate partner violence, substance use disorder and grief, school stressors & trauma. I have experience in crisis intervention, case management and client advocacy.

My approach to therapy is first and foremost person-centered and focused on co-creating a strong therapeutic relationship in my clinical work. The main frameworks I pull from are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

When not working, you can find me reading, cooking, walking in a park, traveling and spending quality time with my family and other loved ones. If you think we’d be a good fit or have questions about my approach, please reach out. I’d love to connect and help you find a great therapist match, whether that’s me or someone else! I look forward to working with you on whatever is most generative and supportive for your whole, complex,
messy, beautiful self.
