Olivia Dellston (she/her), MSW, LCSWA
Site Supervisor of South Durham; Outpatient Psychotherapist in South Durham
Works with ages 18-50
Hi! My name is Olivia. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and I serve as an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in South Durham. I completed my undergraduate education at Rowan University in my home state of New Jersey. Four years ago, I moved to North Carolina to complete my Master of Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill.
My approach as a therapist is to communicate and collaborate with my clients to understand what they need and do my best to support them whatever way is best. I believe therapy should be non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering. I would love to support you as you learn to manage anxiety and depression, cope with life transitions, explore gender and sexuality, understand and learn to thrive as a neurodivergent person, strengthen emotional regulation skills, understand and improve interpersonal relationships, and more. I believe the value of acknowledging, embracing, and empathizing with my clients and their different identities is of the utmost importance.
In my practice, I utilize a person-centered approach and draw from Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. I specialize in working with queer and neurodivergent populations and am comfortable working with clients ages 5 or older.
Outside of the office, I enjoy playing softball, volleyball, and whatever other sport I am invited to, spending time with my cats, Callie and Moe, and playing video games.
