Raven Armstrong (she/her), MSW, LCSWA
Outpatient Psychotherapist in Garner
Works with ages 18+
Hi, my name is Raven Armstrong (she/her)! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I received my Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Master of Social Work from East Carolina University. I have practiced social work in a variety of settings including community mental health for those with severe and persistent mental illness, managed care, and supporting children with neurodivergent diagnosis in the home to develop routines and manage transitions.
I am passionate about working with young adults and adults experiencing issues related to anxiety, day-to-day stress, life transitions, identity, self esteems issues, interpersonal communication, and relationship concerns. I also have a strong passion for supporting those with perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns.
I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered approach. I believe therapy works best when genuine rapport is built by meeting individuals where they are. I draw from evidenced based therapies such as Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy. My goal is to create an open and supportive therapeutic environment to collaborate on goals that promote your best self, however that may look.
