Shanetta Williams (she/her)
Clinical Intern, North Carolina Central University
Works with ages 30-75
My name is Shanetta Williams (she/her/hers), and I am excited to be part of the Three Oaks Behavioral Health and Wellness team as a Clinical Intern. I am currently enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health program at North Carolina Central University, and I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in December 2022. My educational background has equipped me with a robust understanding of psychology and business, enabling me to provide effective, client-centered care.
My professional experience includes working with diverse populations, which has enhanced my ability to empathize and connect with clients from all walks of life. As a Quality Care and Research Analyst at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, I coordinated mentorship and education programs, managed clinical research databases, and emphasized evidence-based practices. These experiences further shaped my dedication to supporting clients in meaningful ways.
My primary focus is to support African American adults, aged 30-75, in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I specialize in addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, grief/loss, and interpersonal challenges. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their unique experiences, values, and aspirations.
I deeply appreciate the richness of diversity in all its forms and strive to honor my clients' cultural, spiritual, and personal identities. My goal is to empower clients to embrace their self-worth and develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, and reflecting on inspirational quotes. One of my favorites is, “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today,” which reminds me of the resilience and potential within all of us. I look forward to walking alongside you on your path to well-being.
