Stephanie Levin (she/her), LCMHC, NCC

Site Supervisor of Southern Village; Outpatient Psychotherapist in Southern Village

Works with ages 18+

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor (1232593), an Outpatient Psychotherapist, and the Site Supervisor of Southern Village at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Barnard College and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.

My approach to therapy begins with developing a strong rapport with the client. I work to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship through compassion, empathy, and support. You can expect a laid-back, nonjudgmental environment – perhaps even a bit of humor.

I am trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR (Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and also pull from other modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Mindfulness plays a large role in my work; learning to observe and accept the present moment can be vital to regulating emotions and decreasing stress.

I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, as well as issues pertaining to self-esteem, relationships and life transitions. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and work with adults ages 18 and up. Seeking therapy is a sign of strength that should be appreciated as such. I view the client-therapist relationship as a collaborative one; I will work with you to help access your inner strengths in order to heal, grow, and live the life you want to live.
