Tyler is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (15036), Clinical Intern Mentor and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University and received his Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University at the top of his class.
Tyler has always believed that therapy begins with a strong, open relationship built from trust, respect, vulnerability and effort. Throughout his life, he has always had an innate ability and inclination to listen, assist and heal. Tyler's personal brand of therapy will allow for you to feel heard, validated, respected and empowered via strong, empirically-based practices. He utilizes a combination of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy techniques to work with trauma, mood disorders, high anxiety, identity, sexuality, relationship issues, self-esteem, social anxiety, self-confidence and self-empowerment. Tyler is a strong, committed ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and has been for many years.
